Dear Applicant: We are delighted that you are interested in graduate studies in Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee! Please work to submit all required items for this on-line application. If you have particular questions and/or need assistance, please send an email to Ms. Kate Valerius (the UWM Physics Graduate Program Assistant) and reference “Fall 2018 PhD Applicant Question,” or something similar.
Please note that all students should apply for the PhD program, no matter if you have already completed a MS degree or not. Typically, those students chosen for admission receive teaching assistantships, plus additional awards and tuition remission.
The application deadline is February 1st. However, for those who submit all required items by December 15th, it is possible (but not guaranteed) that early review of exceptional applications may be done, with decisions and offers being made in mid January. Again, please contact Ms. Valerius for any questions.
We admit new students in the Fall semester only.
Thank you again for your interest. We look forward to receiving your application!
Sincerely, UWM Physics
